The Fullness of the Holy Spirit

The fullness of the Holy Spirit is to express the divinity of God with holiness and purity through our spirits. As light and darkness can be distinguished distinctively, it discriminates between Christians and the world.

After the fall of Adam, people become physical, and nobody can accomplish love, which is the image of God. Regardless of any efforts, nobody can achieve perfect love. Perfect love can be possible only through the help of God i.e. the help of the Holy Spirit. The way to receive God’s help is to fill ourselves completely with the Holy Spirit through the faith to believe in Jesus Christ.

Likewise, the spirits filled with the Holy Spirit are Christians and also they are partakers of the divine nature. However, today’s Christians underestimate themselves without any pride and dignity at all.

As Christians are ‘the anointed people’ in Hebrew, they are consecrated by God like kings and priests. This is why the Bible proclaims that Christians are royal priesthoods, holy nations, etc. (1Pe2:9). Anointment represents the Holy Spirit and power. Namely, Christians are the people who receive the power of the Holy Spirit. Due to that power, they are not human beings anymore but the people who participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world (2Pe1:4). Now Christians are people who can be holy ‘gods’.

“… You are gods, you are all sons of the Most High.” (Ps82:6)
“… I have said you are gods?”(Jn10:34)

Accordingly, the spirits who are not filled with the Holy Spirit can not be called Christians in the strict sense of the word.

As if fire-resistant clothes protect firefighters from very hot fire on the scene of fire, the fullness of the Holy Spirit is prepared with multiple abilities to carry out missions perfectly and completely in the world as Christians. Every Christian has the Holy Spirit. However, people should be filled with the Holy Spirit that is enough to carry out their duties so that they must internally and externally bear fruits of the Spirit [love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control(Gal5:22-23)], which are convincing proofs that they are true Christians. Therefore, without receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit, they can not play a role of the light and salt that is the life of witness as Christians.

● Indications of the fullness of the Holy Spirit

The fullness of the Holy Spirit that works in each Christian spirit can not be described as this or that in any words and languages. What we feel only is that our spirits are fully filled with joy so that we are intoxicated with peace and joy. That joy is composed of three virtues such as faith, hope, and love.

The lawful faith is to believe every word recorded in the Bible. However, as a human flesh that tends to wrap up in the world of self-indulgence, it is too difficult to keep all the requirements of the Bible and those requirements are restraints that shackle human conscience and deprivation of freedom. Therefore, keeping those requirements is not voluntary acting but acting out of a sense of duty. On the other hand, faith in the fullness of the Holy Spirit is willing to believe and practice even very small and trivial things in the Bible. Even after that, people feel insufficient, sorry and regrettable and they carry out the requirements of the Bible to their neighbors with sympathy due to their constant feeling like they are lacking as if mothers try to prepare food as much as they can for their sons who leave home to join the army.

How can I carry out the requirements of Matthew Chapter 5 by the lawful faith? Why should I be stricken on the right cheek and why should I be insulted by others without reasons? If these things happen to me, I have to obey the laws based on the word of God, but I will take it as a lifetime insult, and feel aggrieved by reliving it over and over again. In addition, when someone wants to sue me and take my tunic, how can I let him have my cloak as well? Probably, I will appeal even to the Supreme Court, and If not possible, I will try to recover my own rights by all means. Whenever I think of losing my rights, I will feel chagrined and aggrieved so that I will leap to my feet out of a sleep and I will pour out my complaint before God at the altar not by 3-year but by even ten-year determined prayer without sleeping at night.

On the contrary, the Bible demands us rather to pray for those who persecute us. Although you have such a good faith, it will take quite a long time to recover from the wound of deprivation and it will end up with just trying to cover up those memories. Like this, the lawful faith is God’s command so that the only solution is to cover up the troubles with a convulsive effort.

However, the spirits with the fullness of the Holy Spirit do not feel aggrieved by deprivation and accept deservedly the results as the way it should be by learning the true reason and cause regarding the circumstance not with worldly logics but with heavenly wisdom and logics. Rather, heavenly comfort is so great that the comfort and joy can absorb all of the false charges. Because of that, immediately they can pour out their hearts in repentance and their prayers of blessing for him, sincerely saying that let him know God like them and forgive him from all of his sins.

Likewise, fullness of the Holy Spirit makes me easily discard hatred, greed, etc. that I just had toward my neighbors and feel miserable, sorry and pitiful toward them, also feel that all of their faults seem to be totally my faults, and I like to reach out my hand, asking for an apology and feel like to give them everything, but I do not mind at all, I am not ashamed of myself, and I can not deny a certain absolute power that makes me to do so. Moreover, by forgiveness and generosity and love above them, I sincerely cherish their spirits in depth. By doing so, I offer an intercessory repentance for them far more deeply, importantly, and responsibly than myself.

Furthermore, I always feel joyful, and the joy makes my body as soft as down and lighter than a feather, so I can fly like a bird all over the universe and I can go anywhere in spirit. Although I do not have any money in my pocket, happiness is poured out more and more from my spirit as if I own everything. Now the innocent world of my childhood that I have a longing to see in my dreams is opended out before my eyes and it becomes reality. Then it is more impressive than before in my spirit, so my eyes are filled with deep gratitude, ecstasy, and joy, shedding tears in response, and I realize that the cravings for greed are reckless and these are moved away like the tide at its ebb so I can refuse them like rubbish. Moreover, anxiety and worry, which annoyed me like a column of swarming mosquitoes, are broken into pieces under the faith like a great mountain and scattered like dust. I do not know where a perfect knowledge comes from, but it explains to me by giving reasons so that the hatred that I can not escape from, the envy with the fearful forces enough to burn everything, and the flame of jealousy are immediately incinerated.

Interference by hatred and wicked thoughts of revenge immediately disappear with shame and can not be found at all. Like clear crystals, the transparent truth come from somewhere fills the entire spirit and the truth is realized to be holy by itself. Like a diamond, as soon as the sun shines on it, countless new wisdom and knowledge are poured out like dazzling lights coming from various angles.

Like priest’s fine linen of love, everything is compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (Col3:12). Together with the distinction between right and wrong, the mind with thoughts of resentment, complaint, and curse against others for some time makes me to repent and repent with the feelings of vomiting blood and regret myself. Such a strange phenomenon suddenly comes to me and all creation becomes bright, shiny, and soft and transforms into a beautiful world. Then I naturally communicate with all creatures. In turn, the creatures respond to me with blessings and love. Also, they plead their grievous situations and they want to be comforted. I bless them, I appreciate everything, I thank for everything, and everything makes me happy and impressed. As a result, I am excited and praise God by shedding tears.

In addition, I do not know how I have such loyalty and a sense of duty, but I am filled with loyalty so that I can immediately obey all the orders. Moreover, I always concern about my neighbors, my nation, and all mankind. Due to these concerns, I spend sleepless nights, try to find the way of salvation, and struggle with the feelings of a burning pain, compassion and pity. Likewise, human-beings feel true happiness when they are fully filled with the Holy Spirit.

● What is true happiness for mankind?

Happiness that all human beings are pursuing is true happiness when love is perfectly completed in their own heart. This is the definition of love that all philosophy and religion have tried to define and all mankind has searched for so hard, anxious and hopes to find. The elements of love, which are the condition of human happiness, are shown in the Bible as follows: love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres (1Co13:4-7). In other words, when human beings return to the created original form, then only they can find perfect happiness. It is the time when human beings are restored to love that is the form of God. Namely, the condition of happiness for human beings is the perfection of love.

Although worldly people under the dominion of the flesh laugh, shout, eat, drink, and live a life as their own way, in reality, they are led by and follow according to countless wounds, urgency, poverty, hatred, envy, greed, etc. in their spirits. In addition, they are tired of working, and their work is beyond their capability so that they collapse here and there and groan in anxiety, anguish, and worry. The more they have, the more knowledgeable they are, it seems that they are equipped with conditions and environments to enjoy happiness freely. However, there is no happiness for them because the spirit which feels and senses happiness has been already broken.

They really want to be happy, but their happiness is the ideal of happiness which is always only in abstract. Even though there are conditions for happiness around them, they never realize them. After happiness is gone far away, they realize that happiness was there and they miss the memories of those days or they realize their happiness in those days when they lived in innocent world of their childhood. Therefore, they are the people who excluded from happiness, namely, they are deprived of happiness.

Happiness of all human begins is realized only when they are fully filled with the Holy Spirit. Likewise, God created man out of love and established true happiness, which is called heaven, kingdom of God, New Jerusalem, and Immanuel. On the other hand, the happiness that all human beings pursue can be just simply described as if one rainy day they obtain a piece of filthy straw mat and rejoice with it by pulling it over their head to take shelter from the rain.

No one knows such a true happy world except the one who has been experienced and the world is beyond description. If anyone experiences the true happiness described in the Bible even just for one minute, then he is very lucky. This is the reason why so many Christians can never forget the time when they receive divine grace, which is their first love for God. At the time the grace was not so intense, and it seems common and ordinary thing, but later why do they miss and have a longing for it so much? Although they possess everything in the world such as money, high position, happy family, honor, etc. as compared to that time, relatively speaking there is always something gloomy about them. Moreover, they live life with a burning desire to go back to those days, if they can. They can neither throw out nor erase the longing for the grace and they deeply miss the grace that they received in those days so that they wish to possess it even at the cost of their lives. However, by looking at their miserable selves placed in unavoidable circumstances, they realized that the grace is a very precious and valuable lump of happiness itself and a core that can not be replaced with anything in the world. Like this, so many people have received material blessings in Christ, but they sob in their deep-seated spirit because of being enslaved by something to unfill the emptiness. Although they walk by faith diligently, the harder they try, their emptiness can not be filled. Likewise, it is hard to recover once lost grace.

Therefore, it is important to receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit, but it is more important to maintain and manage it. Although Christianity has the best well-refined doctrine of the Holy Spirit and has received the fullness of the Holy Spirit, it will be vanished within three months. Even the ministers who have started from the law step by step maintain the fullness of the Holy Spirit for three years at most and they slowly lose it. This is the reality of the Protestants. The reason is due to the invasion of secularism.

● The disturbing factors for the fullness of the Holy Spirit are physical factors.

Secularism in the aspect of the lawful faith means worldly common sense and universal thinking, whereas secularism in the aspect of spiritual faith means to have physical factors [sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy, drunkenness, orgies (Gal5:19)] in the spirit. Bearing physical factors in mind or keeping them is secularism, and this is the representative disturbing factor to disturb the fullness of the Holy Spirit. If there are full of physical factors, people always live according to the desires of the flesh. Namely, after this is ended, they make people to be nervous about achieving other things. Like this, they make people to live in the world of greed all the time. By doing so, they make people to become idolaters who worship greed so that they separate the relationship between God and us.

Furthermore, there are resentment, complaint, dissatisfaction, annoyance, and impetuosity in everything. In addition, people are trying to find faults with everything. If circumstances and conditions are right, hatred and animosity constantly pour our all the time like water from a spring. Even if I make mistakes, it should be very small, and most of mistakes are due to others. Therefore, they are more hateful, and reprehensible, and I am disappointed at them, so I speak ill of them and speak against them. In addition, when they show up, I try to hurt them elegantly and indirectly with words. By doing so, I can relieve my dissatisfaction. Also, as if a puppy always holds a bone between the teeth as a toy, the words that come out from my mouth always contain complaint, dissatisfaction, abuse, judgment against others without stopping. Moreover, I bite hard whoever they are at random until I vent my anger. If I am weaker than my opponent, I persuade the people around me and make them my side so that I can isolate and alienate him from other people. Like this, if I hold whomever culpable, I watch for an opportunity to revenge him cruelly. Similarly, the fullness of the Holy Spirit and that of the flesh (the work of Satan) all happen within me.

However, Christians are always surrounded by physical factors. In the midst of all these circumstances, they are the people who must administer only love. Especially, God sends always enemies to ministers and call them in testimony of forgiveness, generosity, and love. Therefore, the surroundings fo ministers are always filled with hatred, regret, sadness, etc. Accordingly, if ministers are not fully filled with the Holy Spirit, they can not take even one step. As a result, they have to be always fully filled with the Holy Spirit. In order to do that, they have to control their flesh [flesh: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy, drunkenness, orgies(Gal5:19)], which is the enemy of God, with only one love in the spirit of martyrdom, win over it and communicate with God. By communication with God, they can carry out the work of the light, which is to let churches and the world know God’s will, providence, wishes, lessons, etc.

Moreover, with the power of the fruits of the Spirit such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal5:22), ministers have to heal their neighbors, the world, their flocks, and sins, which are physical factors placed before them. Likewise, the healed flocks become witnesses who go into the world and preach love according to what they learn and what they know. Therefore, like doing so, Christian good deeds can stop corruption. Accordingly, the fullness of the Holy Spirit should be expressed not in theory but in reality by my own act of holiness and love now.

If the act of love is not expressed in my behavior, this means that I am not filled with the Holy Spirit but filled with the flesh. Namely, this proves that I am deprived of the Holy Spirit and simply I am still a non-Christian. Accordingly, if it is not love, Christians should turn back without condition, and should neither touch nor taste anything. Therefore, the Bible says that for the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power (1Co4:20).

Now ministers and Christians should not deceive their own selves due to Satan’s tricks and strategy. All standards are not the standards made by their own measuring stick but the standards established by only love (1Co13:1-20). The standards by love should be firmly carved and carved in their spirit. In addition, every circumstance they need to use it accurately and if there is any deviation from it, they have to repent thoroughly. This is the best way to return to their first love and to maintain the fullness of the Holy Spirit as well. Furthermore, they must never look back toward the way of Satan, which is the way of the flesh but they must run toward the way of only love.

Today, all of Protestant churches have the well-refined doctrine of the Holy Spirit, but they can not apply the doctrine to the faith so that they do not have the living Holy Spirit. Now, they must apply the doctrine not to be used in theory but to express the power of love within them. In order to do that, they must again find their first love for God and restore it.

May the inspiration of the first love for God be with all the churches and may the fellowship of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all the priests and ministers.

My Lord! To whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
The grass withers and flowers fall, But the word of our God stands forever.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
